-1964 Billy Penton started Penton's Trim & Glass Shop in his garage.

-1968 Penton's was established in it's first brick and mortar building at the foot of the Bayou Chico Bridge, giving better access to working on boat interiors.

-1970 Penton's was once again relocated, to St. Mary Avenue, off of Pace Blvd, which was directly behind Billy Penton's home.

-1977 An addition was added to the building for automotive vinyl tops.

-1985 Custom vans became all the rage, so Billy expanded to include a custom van shop to the St. Mary's location.

-1986 The logo was born! While Billy was at a theme park, he asked a cartoonist to draw a logo for his shop. It is now recognized throughout the community.

-1988 Penton's Custom Vans & Truck Accessories was opened on "W" St. This was the first Truck Accessory store in Pensacola.

-1996 Darren Penton, Billy's son, who took off his first seat cover at the age of 8, took ownership of the business, at the age of 35, after Billy Penton passed away.

-1998 Darren relocated the trim shop on St. Mary Ave. to the "W" St. location and discountinued customizing vans. He renamed the business, Penton's Auto Trim and Truck Accessories.

-2014 50 years serving Pensacola and the surrounding areas.

-2017 Rusty Penton, Darren's son, is now manager of Penton's. Darren has plans to pass the business along to his son, the third generation.
